We discuss credit cards for bad credit and what you should be considering when you’re looking for a new credit card. Specifically, a bad credit score is usually defined as a FICO score of 300-580. If you’re in that range, unfortunately, you have poor credit, but luckily there are proven ways to improve your credit score. As for what is considered fair credit, that is usually a 570 to 669 from FICO. If you have bad credit, chances are you’ll end up with a secured credit card or a rebuilding credit card. In either case, the rewards will be minimal and the credit limit won’t be much either. That just fine, though, because the goal of this new card is to help you build your credit score over time.
